Managing Partner
Brant Couch is Managing Partner of HealthSure, an Alera Group Company, where he leads business development, strategic programs, and key client relationships. HealthSure is one of the largest specialized insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the United States focused on healthcare, serving more than 130 hospitals nationwide.
With more than 22 years of experience, Brant has worked closely with hospitals and healthcare organizations across the country, partnering with leading associations such as the National Rural Health Association (NRHA), the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals (TORCH), and multiple state and regional hospital associations. His work centers on helping hospitals manage risk, improve financial performance, and strengthen long‑term sustainability.
Brant specializes in the design and implementation of captive insurance programs, group purchasing strategies, and other collaborative solutions that drive meaningful economic efficiencies for hospitals of all sizes. He is regularly published and is a frequent speaker to hospital executives and boards on healthcare finance, risk strategy, and innovative insurance models.
Earlier in his career, Brant spent eight years with Ernst & Young (EY) as a recognized business development leader and auditor, specializing in healthcare and emerging growth companies nationwide. He also previously held roles with Central Texas Medical Center and served in the Texas State Senate.
Brant holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves on the Dell Seton Medical Center Community Leadership Council and has previously served on the advisory board of Concordia University’s Healthcare Administration Program. He is also an advisor to several healthcare organizations and nonprofit entities.
